These topics will help you to understand your own growth and development as well as that of other people you may go on to work with or care for. This will help if you get a job as a health, social care or childcare worker after you have left school or college. It will also help if you have children or need to provide care for other members of your family at some point in your life. You also need to learn about human growth and development because there is an exam that you need to sit! Assessment: 1.5 hour written examination This unit provides you with opportunities to gain knowledge and understanding of human development across the life cycle and the ways in which this may be a ected; how individuals can take control of their care and health and well-being; and how early intervention (or action) and prevention can support the growth and development of individuals.
