17 UNED 1 / UNIT 1 Ymateb ar lafar i sbardun gweledol Responding to visual stimulus B: Practise before the assessment You must ensure that you have plenty of opportunities to practise and develop your speaking and listening skills during the course. Your teachers will provide you with these opportunities, but you could also practise with a friend/friends. 1 Using role play to practise speaking and listening skills in groups . To practise the skill of speaking and listening : • every member to play the role of ‘Arweinydd’ ( Leader ), ‘Ysgrifennydd’ ( Secretary ) or ‘Siaradwr’ ( Speaker ) • every member to wear ‘cerdyn chwarae rôl’ ( role play card ) • everyone to have the opportunity to be ‘Arweinydd’, ‘Ysgrifennydd’ and ‘Siaradwr’ • ochr ( side ) 1 of the card will explain the role of each one • ochr ( side ) 2 of the card will include language patterns to help with the discussion Ochr 1 y cerdyn ‘chwarae rôl’ Ochr 2 y cerdyn ‘chwarae rôl’ (*Examples of language patterns) Arweinydd You must make sure that everyone: • knows what is the task • gets a chance to take part • does their level best • discuss matters well • summarise Beth wyt ti’n feddwl o …? Wyt ti’n cytuno …? Pam wyt ti’n anghytuno? Beth ydy dy farn di …? Pam wyt ti’n dweud hynny? Pam wyt ti’n meddwl bod …? Wyt ti’n meddwl bod …? Faset ti’n dweud bod …? *It is important that the pair/group choose its own language patterns. Ysgrifennydd You must write notes.
