Your teachers will provide you with these opportunities, but you could also practise with a friend/friends. 1 Using role play to practise speaking and listening skills in groups . To practise the skill of speaking and listening : • every member to play the role of ‘Arweinydd’ ( Leader ), ‘Ysgrifennydd’ ( Secretary ) or ‘Siaradwr’ ( Speaker ) • every member to wear ‘cerdyn chwarae rôl’ ( role play card ) • everyone to have the opportunity to be ‘Arweinydd’, ‘Ysgrifennydd’ and ‘Siaradwr’ • ochr ( side ) 1 of the card will explain the role of each one • ochr ( side ) 2 of the card will include language patterns to help with the discussion Ochr 1 y cerdyn ‘chwarae rôl’ Ochr 2 y cerdyn ‘chwarae rôl’ (*Examples of language patterns) Arweinydd You must make sure that everyone: • knows what is the task • gets a chance to take part • does their level best • discuss matters well • summarise Beth wyt ti’n feddwl o …?
